I acquired several sets of Rustrak (Gulton) Ranger and Ranger II data loggers and probes. We still have a substantial number of items as of 2016. All my inventory is on this Web page. It's up to YOU to decide what you might want or need among the probes, modules, and Rustrak cards. They are sold AS IS no warrenty, but they are simple enough and we'll price them low accordingly. Note: Syngery Systems appears to offer some support for Rustrak products..

probes and pods

PAY ATTENTION! These are the measurement modules, which attach to what you are measureing. They "connect" to the ranger II, through cables & connectors, to the "interface modules" of the same POD number. Those "interface modules" are inserted into the Ranger II and they are shown elsewhere on this Web page. They are sold seperately. We do not have the cabling to connect these "interfaces" to these "measurement" modules.

This links to an image of the 4107TL. It is a AC clamping probe for AC current. We have 9 of these. This links to an image of the 4107TS. It is a AC clamping probe for AC current. We have 4 of these. A box with these 4107 series probes weighs 10 lbs

This links to an image of the MN106. It is an AEMC clamping AC current probe, for 150V AC. I may be out of these.

This links to an image of the Ranger II POD 367-000. It is an AC voltage probe, for 0-600V AC. I may be out of these, or they may be among similar looking probes. Another similar-looking device is the Ranger II POD 363-000, a 0-100A device: we have 14 of those, box of them weighs 10 lbs.

This links to an image of the POD 250. AC voltage 0-600V, AC current 0-1000A. We have 4-5 of these, some appear to be unused. Box of all of these weighs 10 lbs. Here's a photo of the POD 250. Here's a photo of the POD 250 clip leads. Here's a photo of the POD 250 interface module.

This links to an image of the RR2-251. It's an ASEMC MN10140 clamping AC probe, switchable between 0-10A AC (2V DC out?) and 0-40A AC (2V DC out?). We have 13 of these. A box of these weighs 5 pounds.

Here's what a spec sheet says about clamping AC probes:
"AC current probe MN105 MN106 MN107
catalog 100.15, 1031.17, 1031.18
range 2-150A AC; output 1ma AC per amp on primary
accuracy at 45-400Hz 2.2% +/- .15A; at 400-1000Hz +/-2.5% +/-.15A
load impedance 7 ohm max; isolation 3000VAC RMS
MN015: standard 4mm banana jacks. MN106, 107 5 ft leads with 4mm banana plug
MN107 also has voltage limiter

This links to an image of the POD 13. DC voltage probe 0-2 volts We have 4 of these used. No image of the POD 10. 4-20 ma current probe. We have ONE of these used. The POD 03. a thermistor -40 to +110 C We have ONE of these used. POD 30 or 31. a thermistor probe, we may be out. A small box of these items weighs 4 pounds.

This links to an image of the POD 21. AC Current probe 0-1000A We have 6 of these used. This links to an image of the POD 20. AC voltage probe 0-600 volts We have 8 of these used. A box of these models 20 and 21 weighs 10 lbs.

data loggers, data pack readers & packs

This links to an image of the Rustrak Ranger data loggers. We have 4 of these used; three are with their original boxes, with box serial numbers matching the units.
Specs include; "1-4 data channels; 654 ms per sample; 8 char LCD display". 10 oz weight each. The four units, boxes, and two manuals weigh about 6 pounds.

We also have several RR2-120. These are wall wart rechargers, 4.8V DC 225ma. six available, in a box weighing 6 pounds.

This links to an image of the Rustrak Ranger II data logger. We have one of these used plus 2 of these boxed used (nonmatching serial numbers to box).
The USED boxed units have user and operator manuals, the ver 3.5 diskette, in original styrofoam packing.
Specs include "1-8 signal channels, 4 math channels (A+B, A-B, etc.) ; 62.5ms to 12 hrs sample rate; 2 line 16 char LCD display." 2.5 lbs
The two boxed units weigh about 5 pounds each. The loose unit weighs under 3 pounds.

Additionally, we disassembled nine Ranger II's into their LCD display and their internal circuit board. Boxed weight of boards and displays 5 lbs. Here's a photo of the removed control board. Sold as is.

Here's a photo of the interior of the Ranger II. Note the four modules near the top, with space for five. These are removable and are various voltage and current "pods" typically numbered "POD-XXX-000". The lower module on the right of the PC board, is a "configuration" pod, like "CFG-712". The LCD display uses an HD174080 Hitachi LDC controller chip. The main board has a NSC HPC4600EV chip.

Pod interface modules

PAY ATTENTION! These are the little cards - interface modules - which fit into the Rustrak II. They "connect" to the measurement module "PODS" throught cables with connectors. The measurement "PODS" are shown elsewhere on this Web page. They are sold seperately. We do not have the cabling to connect these "interfaces" to the "measurement" modules.

We have the following circuit board modules, but please confirm when ordering.
The "pod" series are the complimentary interfaces to the probes of similar name, listed above.
these are very small and light, the entire collection weighs about 5 pounds.

23 POD-359-358: AC current, 0-40A 0-20A.
12 POD-363-000: 0-1000A AC 1000:1 ratio
